The "custom instructions" thing is super interesting. Do you think there will be the ability to have a section of chats where you have a particular "mother rule" in place like this, but with the opportunity to have other chats where a different parameter is set (or just no parameter)? I can see how this would be useful, but turning ALL of my chats into the same kind of thing might not be ideal.
That was spot on my first thought as well. Right now, it's a blanket instruction for all chats, so it's meant to be used for something that stays true about you and your needs regardless of what you're using ChatGPT for. (At least that's how it's described. I can't see this on my end yet - will have to wait until it gets to Denmark.)
But it'd be great if you could save a few preset instructions with different purposes and personalities directly within ChatGPT. You have lots of plugins and browser extensions that do this for you today, but I'd appreciate a native way to do this.
I've got access; I may be the guinea pig for both of us for the time being. I read through and it looks like I can turn it off, no harm no foul, so I'll give it a shot.

Yeah I figured it's optional, but would definitely be nice to have multiple preset instructions.
