5 Best Midjourney Prompts: March 2025 (Tactile Art)
Terms that mimic art made with light, foam, yarn, and more.
Y’all know what this is: The last Thursday post of the month, traditionally dedicated to funky Midjourney modifiers.
This time, I’m after hands-on arts and crafts that experiment with different mediums.
My showcase subjects are:
🥚 Egg
🧑🌾 Scarecrow
🪺 Birdhouse
Let’s go!
Going forward, I’m taking these monthly AI art explorations beyond Midjourney. I’ll run prompt comparisons in different models, test new AI image features, and more. There are simply too many new image models to try.
Prompt #1: “[subject], ebru artwork”
Ebru is a Turkish marbling technique that involves painting colorful patterns and designs in oily water and then placing a sheet of paper on top to transfer the design. While traditional designs tend to be floral or ornamental, you can ask Midjourney to apply the style to any subject you choose.

Prompt #2: “[subject], latte art”
If you’ve ever been to a trendy coffee spot, you’ve likely seen latte art. If your barista is feeling fancy, they’ll pour the milk foam just right to create intricate designs. Classics include hearts and flowers—but who says you have to stop there? Certainly not Midjourney.

Prompt #3: “Lite-Brite [subject]”
Lite-Brite is a retro toy that lets you create glowing images by punching tiny colored pegs into a backlit board. The result is a glowing, pixelated image reminiscent of neon art. Use it in Midjourney for a bit of that nostalgia vibe.

Prompt #4: “Amigurumi [subject]”
Amigurumi is Japanese for “adorable as Hell”—no, wait, let me check my notes—uh, ”crocheted or knitted stuffed toy.” And, yeah: That checks out. They’re crocheted or knitted creatures with cute eyes and smiling faces. Thanks to Midjourney, you can amigurumify just about anything.

Prompt #5: “[subject], assemblage art”
Assemblage is when you combine a whole bunch of found objects—rusted tools, discarded doll parts, bits of wire—into a single unholy art amalgam. Think “collage,” but in 3D. Truly, one man’s trash is another man’s million-dollar masterpiece. Midjourney lets you explore this creative chaos without scavenging for random junk.

🫵 Over to you…
Remember to test the above modifiers in other image models—it’s always fun to compare the differences.

That latte art one got me. I think it would be cool to do that for a drawing of a young me going into my first coffee shop!
I see the expansion beyond Midjourney. Is MJ still leading in certain categories?
