Daguerrotype is probably my fave of these. I might try fiddling a bit with it! I also like thinking about Daguerre and how he kind of figured out how to take pictures.
Yeah it's pretty neat, and this modifier is probably also the closest to mimicking the real thing. Then again, simply typing "vintage photo" often gives rather similar results in the absence of additional descriptors. I covered that in the original "Photography" edition.

True - a lot of this stuff is just the models kind of making what they can already do a bit more accessible, I think.
